About the mediation process:
A Mediator is a Neutral Party
A mediator is an unbiased third-party that must be completely neutral. Mediators do not represent any one party and are there to help facilitate communication between the parties as they work toward an agreement.
Understanding the Dispute
In order to conduct a successful negotiation, mediators must fully understand the nature of the disagreement. During the mediation process, all parties must be open and honest.
Listening to All Sides
We are committed to listening to all parties and ensure that everyone involved has a chance to tell their side of the story.
Negotiation and Discussion
A mediator will help facilitate communication and discussion between parties. We will help identify possible issues and present possible solutions. All of our options are only recommendations and are not mandated.
Resolution & Agreement
If you reach an agreement during mediation, then a formal agreement will be drafted and signed by the parties, which will be enforced by the Judge. If you only achieve a partial resolution, then the final hearing will be limited to only those issues not resolved during mediation.
